Make Your Own Biodiesel Processor
Biodiesel is one of the few effective and feasible options that are available in the market. The killer factor of biodiesel is that you can make it at home for yourself as well. Making your biodiesel processor might seem to be a complicated process. If you do it properly however, it can be very easy. Just make sure that you proceed step by step and be careful. You have to begin by procuring a drum. Place it firmly on the ground and cut a large hole in its top. Cut another hole in the drum. This time at the bottom. Make sure that you cut this hole properly as you have to attach a pipe here. Prepare the pipe by attaching a brass ball valve to it and weld it to he drum.
There would be a number of other brass made components. While it is not a must that you should use parts made of brass, the particular metal is really solid and resistant to chemical wear and tear to a very large extent. Drill one more hole in the drum this time at the side bottom part. Keep this hole a bit bigger, you would install the heating element from this outlet. Generally any standard heater element purchased from a hardware store would do.
Keep in mind that when you fix the element it must not touch any parts of the drum. This would make sure that the drum does not become overheated and the risk of a shock is reduced as well. Connect the heating element to an electric wire and plug. Do not plug it in yet! Now have to work on making the chemical mixer. It is better to keep the things simple here. Take a rolled steel rod and attach a pulley to it. Attach another pulley to an electric motor. Weld a propeller to it as well. Hook up the entire assembly to a hinge. Be careful so as to make sure that none of the parts get misaligned. In the drum, weld angle iron near the top of the part. You have to mount the entire assembly to one side. Align all the things in such a manner that the propeller is able to move freely. Finally you should mount the motor inside the drum and the task is done. Now you can connect the device in the wire outlets and flick the switch. Your biodiesel processor ready to swing in action.
